The Rolling Stones

University of Leeds, Leeds, England, March 13, 1971

When thinking about the University of Leeds, one might consider their outstanding academics, or their highly-acclaimed research department. It's a prestigious university with a rich history. But in the 70's, the school also excelled in rock concerts!

The Who recorded their groundbreaking live album "Live at Leeds" at the school in 1970, as they played "Tommy" in its entirety. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple all played there at various times. And on March 13, 1971, The Rolling Stones added their name to the list!

The Stones were on tour promoting their "Sticky Fingers" album, and played the 2,100 seat Refectory on campus. We'll listen to this legendary performance and enjoy some of the earliest live performances of songs that have become classics.

Don’t miss The Rolling Stones! They’re headlining Live in Concert!
