U2 had a little success in Europe with their first 2 studio albums, but they charged on to the scene in the U-S with their 3rd album, "War." The steady growth continued with their 4th studio album, "The Unforgettable Fire." U2 had grown from playing small clubs and theaters, to taking the stage at larger arenas. The band was building a reputation for incredible live performances.

With the release of their 5th studio album, "The Joshua Tree," everything changed, forever.

U2 became one of the biggest names in music. On this broadcast of Live in Concert, we'll take you back to the historic "Joshua Tree" tour.

In a little over 9 months, U2 played 109 concerts around the world. We'll listen to a legendary performance captured live during the tour, at the old Boston Garden in Boston, MA. They played 2 nights at "The Garden" in September- we'll listen to the 2nd night, September 18, 1987.
