The pandemic was difficult for businesses to navigate. It was downright brutal for the concert industry. Around the world, arenas, theaters, and small clubs were dark, and silent. Bands attempted Zoom concerts, although it didn't work out to well.
When the all-clear was finally given, Journey was one of the first bands out of the gate. And their first performance after the long hiatus was nothing short of massive. The took the stage and headlined Lollapalooza in Grant Park, downtown Chicago, in front of over 100,000 fans!
Journey's performance was extraordinary. It sounded as though the band had never stopped playing.
For the fans, they gathered to celebrate two things that night- the pure joy of having human community, and the incredible live music of Journey!
