The Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreux, Switzerland, July 10, 2013We’re celebrating the closing of this year’s prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival! The 60th annual festival has been going on for the past couple of weeks.
Since 1967, the festival has seen countless legendary performances. We’ve dug through decades of those concerts and come up with the very best over the years.
Our headliner is that Little Ol' Band From Texas, ZZ Top! Billy Gibbons has been a longtime fan of the festival. He's attended as a fan, and he's also taken the stage and performed. We'll hear ZZ Top's legendary performance at the 47th annual fetsival on July 10, 2007.
We’ll also hear Santana’s incredible set from 2011, Eric Clapton's set with Phil Collins on drums from teh 20th anniversary in 1986, and we couldn’t possibly honor the festival without featuring the band who made Montreux famous…Deep Purple! We’ll hear their explosive performance from 2006!
